Cestovnim vezama povezan je sa zaleđem preko planinskog prijevoja Vratnik (700 m nad morem), na zapadu s Vinodolskom dolinom, Rijekom i njezinim zaleđem, te na jugu sa Zadrom, Splitom i Dalmacijom.
